Hi, my name is Mary Raschella and I am a registered Counsellor, Systemic Family Therapist and Educator.
I work with individuals, couples, parents and families and believe everyone’s unique challenge and story deserves to be shared in a non-judgmental and calm space. My approach is collaborative, working with you to understand the problem and relationship patterns that keep you stuck, opening up ways forward towards a healthier and more positive life.
I specialise in supporting people and their relationships. As human beings, we are wired for connection and are interconnected to each other. I believe we have an impact on each other and are part of a wider network of systems.
My approach is informed by Family Systems Theory and uses an integrated therapeutic approach from schools of Family Therapy, including Bowen Family Therapy, Structural, Strategic, Narrative and Solutions Focussed family therapy integrated with contemporary modalities such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Attachment Science, Mindfulness and Polyvagal theory.
Throughout my 25 years of work in the human service and health sector, I have had the privilege to work in a variety of organisations and settings working with families, carers, young and older individuals, educators and helping professions. This experience has inspired my work in private practice, in training and reflective practice with helping professions and teachers.
I have had the privilege to walk beside many people who have shared their stories, struggles, triumphs and life journey. Through these experiences, I have observed a yearning for one central need- connection. Connection is what supports our sense of belonging to ourselves and in relationships.
Everyone has a story. Are you ready to share your story and make the connection?
